What this degree describes
Suspended above ordinary ground, this degree offers perspective without participation, a view of the whole terrain that only distance can grant. Cancer, so identified with the close and the intimate, briefly rises above its own turf to see the larger shape of the emotional land it lives in. The carpet is a borrowed vehicle, not a permanent post, a visit to overview, not a new home. Still, the stillness matters: nothing here rushes to land, the value is entirely in staying up long enough to actually look.
