THE SYMBOL
“A pilot presses on through thick, ground-hiding cloud, trusting the instruments.”
Pisces 10° · Sabian symbols, devised 1925 (Marc Edmund Jones, clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler)
Remember to round up: a planet or point at 9°30′ takes the 10° symbol, not the 9° one.
What this degree describes
Faith, made mechanical and literal: the aviator cannot see the ground, cannot see much of anything, and keeps flying anyway, trusting instruments and training over the evidence of the eyes. This is Pisces at its most genuinely spiritual, moving forward through real confusion because something more reliable than sight has taken over the navigation. Nothing here denies how disorienting the cloud actually is; the degree simply insists the flight continues regardless.
When a planet or point falls here
A planet at this degree often shows real capacity to keep moving through genuine confusion, trusting inner instruments over what the eyes can currently confirm. Neptune or Uranus here can indicate someone who navigates uncertainty better than they navigate clear skies. It rewards trusting the instrument panel when the view outside has gone entirely white.
What are you currently flying through blind, trusting instruments you cannot actually see the results of yet?
