What this degree describes
Two commitments, made at once, and this degree does not say whether they agree with each other. A double promise can be a rich thing, one vow reinforcing another, or it can be the beginning of a real conflict, two loyalties that will eventually ask something incompatible. The degree simply names the doubling and leaves the reader to look honestly at their own promises: do they run in the same direction, or has one been made without checking on the other?

A planet at this degree often shows a life carrying two significant commitments at once, to two people, two paths, two versions of the self, that need regular, honest checking against each other.
